Reasons for blogging

Image
an image from windows reports indicating a man behind a keyboard. There has been a lot of misconception when it comes to blogs, bloggers, and blogging in general. Maybe because as easy as it may be   'just writing" is not taken seriously as pertained to other career paths when it comes to professionalism or maybe because there have been quieter a number of problematic writers who have chosen to use shortcuts when it comes to publishing blogs, later duping them into trouble or getting negative reviews. eg cases of breach of privacy and plagiarism among others.   However, as a sager puts it  "there are two sides to the coin", and blogging has a lot of good stories in it . The most eye-catching, being bait that could attract money when done professionally by targeting the right audience, using the right channels and keeping them glued to beautiful articles that they resonate with, in their daily lives.  I know that maintaining a suitable audience can be...

IMPACT OF TECHNOLOGY ON SOCIETY

Image
A Variety of words has been used to describe technology and its meaningful purpose in our society. It's simply a scientific method of acquiring a specific purpose in our day today. I will touch base on the impacts it has on our society. As we all are aware that society comprises people brought together either by religion, politics, culture,  or other collective interests.                                                 NYC street (image derived from Thrillist article) Technology has therefore bought about both positive and negative impacts and its been our mandate to learn to live by them depending on how and when they touch our lives. In the medical field, for example, technology has bought about ease and comfort by delivering accurate reports, reducing errors made by humans, and more importantly tracking patients' health data over time. Imagine walking into a he...

Tween' kle tween'kle little star

Since i discovered my new knack into writing, I have never been this excited about an article as this one. Perhaps because it's a project any mom and dad would hold dear. Nothing as exciting though tiring as parenting. It can be exhausting yet interesting task to undertake. A reason why I have been off the scene. Yes! I temporarily delegated "grinding" to focus on up close and candid "raising " A whole lot to learn about during that period..I say! Well , starts off by introducing her . An amazing brilliant but clumsy tween in the making. I call her my hot mess. Young girl , little woman. Both adorable and destructive. Let's call her ado-structive . No apology . As I recently applied a work brake and embarked in a journey to full time parenting, I knew there were tit bits i had missed out on that I needed to catch up with concerning my girl's development chart and it felt like total fun devouring her as my favorite book. I have with me a collection of ...

There can be miracles when you believe

... They don't always happen when you ask... And  its easy to give in to your fears But when you’re blinded by your pain can’t see the  way to get  through the rain....” It’s a line from a  beautiful collaboration of   the late Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey  that’s been playing on my mind all day as a reminder that miracles do happen. Need not to remind you that am a working mother , and with work comes great responsibilities . Sometimes it requires your odd hours but as long as a dollar will be dispensed from  it then what’s the biggy. So this particular day ,  night shift for  that matter I had an errand to meet at a given location and google map came in handy. I can bet with my life that I was dressed up with confidence that I was going to get there on time but along the way i was proven wrong!what was supposed to be a 25 minutes drive became the longest night of my life . I was expecting the location to be a little nearer, at le...

My spring break and anger management

However I have practiced new habits to keep me on toes yet relaxed and fun at the same time like swimming  which is part of body exercising, taking long evening strolls to the groceries and beaches which can be really revitalizing! uploading puzzle games on my tab in place of movies  to keep my brain all jungled up as well as having my time out with a friend every once in a while to keep my laugh  activated!  . Any who , one thing that has gotten me dashing here is anger management . I tell you for free if there’s anything that can deprive your peace in a blink is Anger ...

Meet my everyday bundle of joy

It’s amazing how kids grow up so fast. This was before  my daughter’s  fourth birthday ,weeks before I  left the country for “greener pastures “ . At times I feel so guilty having to leave her behind  ,missing out on her milestones , her school appointments , play dates , scold at her when she does a mess ( though she’s technically my hot mess !) , but you know a mother’s got to do what a mother’s got to do in line to her child’s physical and mental development besides nothing great came out of never making sacrifices. She’s six going seven in a few months but the best thing is how we  do grownup convos on video calls and chats . She loves to be acknowledged and that is what keeps both of us going . Celebrating her every step no matter how small, besides in life steps to greatness are needle point moves , and so it’s my job to notice each one of them she makes and that has really built our mother and child relationship like we’re never apart. I always remind h...

Facing our fears has never been this easy !

This takes me a couple of years back before I attained my UAE driving license. First, let me give credit where it's due, those classes compared to what I thought I learned in my home country were in-depth and very informative that by the time I was done I  had acknowledged myself as a competent driver indeed.  But it wasn’t easy at all as there were a few lessons that gave me cold feet, one being changing lanes! Yes, changing lanes!  UAE has these massive roads with numerous lanes and speedy cars hence my fear. That experience always felt like battling with a king of the jungle. I was afraid so badly when it came to that session I wouldn’t feel myself.  I dreaded it. I would tremble and feel sick to my stomach. I wished we could skip that part. The reason behind my fear was that I dint believe in my capability to change lanes thinking that I would cause confusion and a crash.   I remember m...
